planetRE Launches Real Estate Industry's Most Innovative Mobile Convergence Portal
City: San Jose, Calif.,
Date : Oct 6, 2009
planetRE, a technology provider for online real estate, announced industry's most innovative mobile convergence portal and content management system, branded for agents and brokers. This new portal, an add on to the current MIDAS Front Office and offered on Apple iPHONE® first; enables consumers to use their smart phone devices to perform very powerful property searches and map searches with a revolutionary feature called Consumer Mashup™.
Consumers can use a single URL to visit branded broker/agent mobile sites and perform a variety of powerful property searches like Radius Search, GPS search, Search based on Monthly Payments and straight address searches. The results contain detailed property information and picture carousels; utilizing data coming from one or many local Multiple Listing Services. Using the Mashup feature grid and a simple touch, consumers, for the first time, can get all sorts of neighborhood information around a given property instantly on their smart phones. These include Schools, Demographics, Crime, WalkScore®, Yelp local reviews®, Zillow Zestimates®, major search engine listings, Craigslist® and many more as customized by the agent. Consumers can instantly SMS, email or call the agent from their mobile devices or share the findings with their friends on social networks providing ultimate mobile convergence and social media experience.
"Modern day consumers find little information of value on agent sites and hence drift to other places to check out what they want," stated Subrao Shenoy, planetRE's CEO. "This mobile convergence portal puts the power back in to the hands of the agent to influence the consumer. It creates 'stickiness' to come back again and again to an agent's mobile portal, to find comprehensive information around home, search in one place and communicate with the agent without latency. This portal is vital for agents in connecting with, and staying connected to, today's consumer. It creates a distinct competitive advantage. Brokers have an additional and powerful means to attract and retain top agents in these trying and changing times."
"Bug Real Estate is different. We need an innovative and differential edge with our agents and clients," said Kirk Gregor, Director at Bug Real Estate in San Francisco. "Having our base in this great city, agents and clients constantly expect leading edge innovation. Our planetRE partnership has provided us the solution we need to compete and excel in this market. The mobile convergence portal is a perfect solution for our market from which social media was invented".
"The Better Homes Realty Elite Group waited to adopt a front end platform until we found planetRE's technology which handles consumer searches and communication for both mobile devices and desktops using a single URL," stated Nam Phan, broker/owner of the Better Homes Realty Elite Group, based out of Walnut Creek, CA. "Serving consumers in the Bay Area, we have to attract progressive Realtors, who can be in synch with consumers moving in the mobile direction. planetRE's Mobile Convergence platform with MASHUPs is a killer combination that I haven't found anywhere else."
